Our latest little Sunday brain teaser certainly got you thinking...

Thanks to everyone who entered our latest Sunday Quiz, where all you had to do was tell us the name of a famous fictional detective by getting the answer to four links.

Answer

The answer was of course Sherlock Holmes, although getting the identities to get there was a little tricky for some.

Identities

The former British Open winning conductor was James Watson (the surname of detective's side kick), whilst the 2001 winner of the Stanley Wainwright ‘Best Soloist’ trophy at the same contest was John Doyle (the surname of the author of the books).

The former principal cornet of Black Dyke was Matt Baker (the name of the street where Holmes lives) and the captain of the Welsh rugby team that came third in the World Cup in New Zealand in 1987 was Richard Moriarty (Holmes great nemesis)

Winner

The winner this week was Mick Wild - a tuba player with Jaguar Land Rover Band, who happens to live in Rugby, so he knew certainly knew the last clue first!

We will be sending him a trio of great brass band CDs and a couple of bottles of Blue Juice valve oil in the post.

New Quiz

There will be a couple more brain teasers in the lead up to the British Open so keep your eyes peeled, and remember to enter the great Acromis Quiz at: http://www.4barsrest.com/news/detail.asp?year=2013&id=17398#.UiRewjbtZ8E
